Navigating the complexities of life as a neurodivergent individual in a world that caters to the neurotypical experience can be a unique and often challenging journey. I provide a safe and understanding space for individuals with ADHD, Autism, and other neurodivergent conditions to explore their experiences, strengths, and challenges.
My tailored therapy services are designed to empower you to thrive in a world that may not always fully appreciate the richness of neurodiversity.Together, let's celebrate the unique perspectives and talents that neurodivergent individuals bring to the table while addressing the specific needs that may arise in daily life.
My mission is to provide a space where you feel safe to unmask, and to help guide you toward self-acceptance, personal growth, and the development of strategies to navigate the world with confidence and resilience. You're not alone on this journey, and together, we can embrace and celebrate all that makes you your unique and powerful self. The Changing Landscape
Neurodiversity is Now Diagnosed Across Diverse opulations
The landscape of diagnoses continues to evolve, reflecting a deeper understanding of how Autism and ADHD present across diverse groups. In recent years, there has been a notable increase in the rates of diagnoses, with a growing recognition of these conditions in previously underrepresented groups. In particular, the diagnosis rates among women, minorities, and adults have seen significant rises. This shift underscores the importance of a more inclusive and nuanced approach to diagnosis, allowing individuals from all walks of life to access the support and understanding they need.
As we continue to refine our understanding of neurodiversity, my commitment to celebrating the unique qualities and strengths that come with ADHD and Autism remains steadfast, guiding my holistic approach to therapy and support for neurodivergent individuals.
ADHD is often associated with hyperactivity, impulsivity, and inattention. However, we now know that ADHD can manifest differently in individuals, with some presenting primarily with inattentive symptoms. Furthermore, a deeper understanding of the manisfestation of ADHD has exposed common strengths among those diagnosed (ie spontaneity & creativity) as well as similar challenges (ie disorganization & rejection sensitivity). This broader perspective has allowed us to identify and support individuals who may have gone undiagnosed in the past.
Autism Across the Spectrum
Similarly, Autism is now understood to be a spectrum, with a wide range of presentations. This recognition has enabled us to better support those who may not have fit the stereotypical image of Autism but still benefit from understanding their neurodivergent traits. I deeply enjoy helping autistic individuals unpack their experiences, get in touch with and express their feelings, as well as identify and reach for their goals and dreams.
